The Sacripante research group is focused on developing sustainable materials from biobased feedstock that will biodegrade when disposed. To accomplish that goal, we are capable of employing gel permeation chromatography, thermogravimetric analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and many other analytical techniques to analyze our novel polymers. We are also able to assess material degradation under composting conditions using ISO and ASTM industry standards and plan to incorporate additional biodegradation methods.
