Nicola Piccolo
M.Sc. Candidate
After completing his BSc. in the chemistry department at Queen’s University in 2020, Nicola joined the Dr. Guerino Sacripante and Dr. Daniel Foucher groups as an MSc. candidate. His work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of novel hypercoordinate tin compounds which allows these compounds to have increased stability to light and moisture. Additionally, his work involves the preparation and exploration of novel bridged ferrocenyl stannanes that contain nitrogen chelating ligands which possess interesting structural, thermal and electronic properties. In his free time, Nicola enjoys watching and playing soccer, binge watching Netflix and modifying his cars.
